Approved PLC Centres and Courses 2024/25 Academic Year
PLC courses are available within the State. Similar courses which lead to further education awards outside of the State are not eligible for student grant assistance.
If are you are interested in pursuing a PLC course you may be eligible for a maintenance grant. The fee grant is not available for PLC courses.
The list of approved PLC courses is determined by SOLAS, the Further Education & Training Authority (www.solas.ie). These courses must meet the following criteria:
- they are provided by one of 170 PLC centres, and
- they are full-time and take at least one year to complete, and
- they lead to a major education and training award at Level 5 or Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications (nfq.ie), or equivalent.
